Our Spotlight this week is from proud alumnus Jason Angeles of Frozen Kuhsterd. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us Jason!

Q: What sparked the interest to start Frozen Kuhsterd?

A: I wanted to bring something new to the San Francisco food scene.  Someone mentioned Frozen Custard was big in the mid west, so I took a trip out to St. Louis and decided that this was the business I was going to pursue.

Q: What kind of food does your truck serve and what inspired that choice of cuisine?

A: We serve frozen custard and unique sundaes with some reflecting our asian heritage – Halo Halo Sundaes, Boba Sundaes and 3 Color Drink Sundaes, just to name a few.

Q: What do you recommend first time visitors try at your truck?

A: Our Dynamo Donut Sandwich.  Donut of choice, scoop of choice and one topping.

Q: What’s the best part about serving at the SF State campus?

A: Being a SFSU alumni, it’s good to be back on campus, sharing my business with fellow Gators.

Q: What’s something most people don’t know about your truck?

A: That it really used to be a taco truck and we have a “Tequila” horn to prove it.  In regards to our product, we only serve all natural, local and organic items.
